After several years working in the banking industry, Emily took an act of faith to pursue a profession in Finance. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and has compassion for community neighbors who are faced with physical and/or financial burdens. Emily is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Mission Mowing. She strongly believes Mission Mowing reduces stress to those who are unable to care for their lawns. She looks forward to collaborating and partnering with community members and leaders in hopes of expanding services to the surrounding West Michigan communities. Recently, Emily and her husband, Jim celebrated 28 years of marriage. They enjoy each other’s company, traveling, playing games and spending quality time with their expanding family.
Nicole graduated from GVSU in ’95 with a degree in PR/Advertising with an emphasis in Marketing. Over the past 9 years, she has worked at Senior Neighbors, Inc. (SNI) overseeing their five senior centers as the Volunteer Coordinator. One of her great passions is the program she started in 2015 called “Love in Motion”. Nicole has a real passion for the seniors she serves and strives to make their lives better by making happy carefree places they can visit every weekday at their centers and by helping seniors get things done, such as their yard work. Nicole looks forward to working with the board of Mission Mowing to help seniors who are on fixed incomes to get their yards mowed and driveways plowed. Many of these seniors are veterans that fought for our country, who have physical ailments and/or are on tight budgets. When their driveways are not plowed these seniors cannot get out of their driveways which means they can’t attend doctor’s appointments or get out to see family or friends. I love the mission of Mission Mowing and look forward to seeing what the future holds for this amazing non-profit organization.
